This picture looks like it's using isolation to draw attention to the cat and the food bowl. The food bowl is by itself in the middle of the table.

I think something that isn't necessarily a design element, but still pretty important in design is creativity. Having the ability to create ties from one thing to another in order to influence a viewer.
